We’ll conclude our series of throw back shows with a show we did on September 03, 2010.
Hard to believe, but that was 10 years ago already.
Amy Stillman agreed to join me on Territorial Airwaves. Amy grew up in a home in Upper Aina Haina, where her family settled just a few years after my family settled on the very first street in the valley, a former dairy.
Professor Stillman is a former director of AC Asian/Pacific Islander American (A/PIA) Studies at the University of Michigan, and a two-time Grammy award winner for Best Hawaiian Music Album, as co-producer, lyricist and accompanist. Stillman teaches courses on Hawaiian music and dance, specifically on hula.
Join us now as we share Amy's music and stories in this delightful interview, as she debuts "Ancient Hawaiian Hula", on Cord International.
These hula are fascinating.
