In 1969, Hula Records released an album called “Guava Jam”, featuring Sunday Manoa.
Peter Moon was 25 in 1969, a young inventive musician, master of the ukulele and slack key guitar. He had been searching for a coupling of music and musicians that would produce the sound that he sought. Robert Cazimero, 22, on bass, had been playing music professionally since he was 12 years old.
Roland Cazimero, 21, was the technician of the group, master of all of the instruments he played.
Today, we’ll share some of our favorite recordings from “Guava Jam” from 1969.
