In 1964, Hula Records released an album produced by Don McDiarmid, Jr. called, “Hawaiian Style”, featuring The Kahauanu Lake Trio.
The Kahauanu Lake Trio consisted of
Kahauanu Lake on ukulele & vocals;
His brother, Tommy Lake, on acoustic stand up bass & vocals;
And Al Machida on acoustic guitar and vocals.
And for this recording, Al Ka’ailau was featured on electric guitar.
While performing at the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki, they recorded this album.
