In 1972, the group “Hui Ohana” exploded upon Hawaiian music scene with their debut record, “Young Hawaii Plays Old Hawaii”.
The trio featured fraternal twin brothers Ledward & Nedward Ka’apana, with their cousin, Dennis Pavao.
With breathtaking guitar work, engaging bass runs, and amazing falsetto vocals, the group brought Hawaiian music back to its roots.
Today, we’ll share some of our favorite “Hui Ohana” recordings from their debut June 26, 1972 recording session.
