“Eddie Kamae presents The Sons of Hawaii” was released in 1975, some 4 years before Territorial Airwaves launched on the radio.
The Sons of Hawaii had originally formed in 1960 with Eddie Kamae, Gabby Pahinui, Joe Marshall, & David “Feet” Rogers.
Fifteen years later, after numerous personnel changes, Eddie recorded the 5th version of the group.
The Sons of Hawaii in 1975 were:
Eddie Kamae – vocals & ukulele
Joe Marshall – bass & vocals
David “Feet” Rogers – steel guitar
Moe Keale – vocals & ukulele
Dennis Kamakahi – aged 21, vocals, guitar, banjo, & harmonica.
So we’ll dive into our records archives to hear this classic recording.
Today, 40 plus years later, we’ll share this music.
