Sam Kapu, Jr. was born on September 27, 1944 to Juanita and Sam Kapu, Sr.
His father was a famous performer the Hawaii Calls radio show, and on early Hawaiian recordings.
His mother sang with the Bina Mossman and the Johanna Wilcox Glee Clubs.
Sam, Jr. broke in with Don Ho in the mid-1960s to star in night clubs, on the radio, and on recordings.
