The Blahlas were originally a quintet from Keaukaha, on the Big Island of Hawaii.
They first met at a slack key concert in 1974, and formed the group.
“Da Blahlas” would loosely translate from Pidgin English into “The Brothers”.
The group recorded 3 albums – the 1st in 1976, and the other 2 in January & August of 1978.
Today, we’ll hear those memorable Da Blahlas recordings, courtesy of the Territorial Airwaves archives.
