Hawaii's Stars Present Hawaii's Youth

On April 1, 1973, very early in the “Hawaiian Renaissance”, a memorable concert was presented at the Honolulu International Center Concert Hall.
“The Congress of the Hawaiian People” produced the event, funded by entertainer Don Ho.
Many of the young people who were featured on this memorable 1973 recording have gone on to contribute through their entertainment careers to the perpetuation of Hawaiian music & culture – exactly what the producers wanted to accomplish.
Today, we’ll celebrate the early recorded legacy of Ka Po’e Records from the Territorial Airwaves archives.
