Solomon (Kolomone) Kamaluhia Kekipi Ke Ali’ika’apuni Ku Keala Oka Mahanahana Bright was born on November 9, 1908 and we lost him at the age of 83 on April 27, 1992.
He began as a drummer for his sister Hannah Bright’s orchestra.
Sol Ho’opii recruited the teenaged Sol Bright to join Ho’opii’s mainland combo as the 2nd steel guitarist.
Sol K. Bright would go on to a long and successful career as a songwriter and perfomer.
