Iwalani Kahalewai

Charlotte Iwalani Wilson was born on January 25, 1934, in Waihee, Maui, Hawaii.
She began singing at age 6 for USO shows.
Her career brought her to Honolulu where she eventually performed in many of Waikiki’s finest venues.
Iwa became a featured vocalist in the Alfred Apaka show, and later a member of the Halekulani Girls, and a regular on the “Hawaii Calls” radio show.
Iwa married Sam Kahalewai and became Iwalani Kahalewai.
