They made this recording in 1991 to wish "Territorial Airwaves" a Happy Birthday. Alan Akaka and "Territorial Airwaves" both share the birthday of June 13th.

The late great Hawaii comedian, James Grant Benton, was a fellow DJ on 1420 AM KCCN, Station Aloha, when he voiced this crazy Pidgin English liner for Territorial Airwaves in 1980. The character voice of "Johnny Freitas" should be quite familiar to fans of the legendary Hawaii comedy troupe, "Booga Booga", that featured James Grant Benton, Rap Replinger, & Ed Ka'ahea.
