Palani Vaughan

Frank Vaughan, Jr. was born in Honolulu on May 27, 1944.
In 1968, while classmates at the University of Hawaii, Peter Moon & Palani Vaughan made plans to make a record.
Soon, the group “Sunday Manoa” was born, which would supercharge the contemporary Hawaiian music of the cultural renaissance.
Palani later formed the “King’s Own”, and began to study, compose, publish, record, and perform tributes to King David Kalakaua and Hawaii’s Monarchy Period.
We’ll share some of our favorite selections from the musical legacy of Palani Vaughan.
